Brian is absolutely fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend him for any behavioral issues or general obedience. We hired him because our new dog kept going potty inside the house, jumping up on people, and not listening to us. Since the first session, our dog has not gone potty inside at all and is good at letting us know when he needs to go outside to go potty. Our dog has a really good temperament but Brian taught us how to get our dog to respond to commands (sit, off, down, wait) by using positive reinforcement. It definitely was teaching US how to train the dog and that consistency is important. You can tell he really enjoys working with dogs and was always punctual and willing to work with us.

Can’t thank Brian enough for all his help with our family’s two Shiba Inus. He taught us everything we needed for basic obedience and to have them getting along together in our home (two females). I appreciate how flexible Brian was scheduling our trainings and him arriving on time and being open for communication if we had any questions. Our rescue Groot was already a good boy when we got him, but needed a little help with his manners. We opted for the 6 lessons, and just 3 lessons in I can already see huge improvements in Groot. I completely believe that 6 lessons is a perfect number even if you already have a pretty well mannered pup. Brian is great with your pup, really teaches you not only what to do, but why you are doing it which is huge for me. As a teacher myself, the why is the foundation for learning to do anything successfully. Very impressed!

We are so lucky to have found Brian when we brought home our four-year-old rescue, Cash. We were told that Cash lived outside for his whole life, and he did not have any training. Brian new exactly how to approach training Cash, and we were so impressed with how quickly Cash picked things up with Brian’s leadership. One of the things that we loved most about working with Brian was how clearly he explained what we should be doing, especially when Cash wasn’t doing what we were trying to get him to do. He showed us and gave us a chance to practice. In six lessons over approximately two months, Brian taught us how to teach Cash touch, sit, stay, heel, slow, quick, wait, leave it, and more. Cash was overly excited in the car, and Brian helped us to interpret his behavior and correct it. Cash would whine and jump on us whenever we tried to eat in his presence, and Brian showed us exactly how to change that behavior. Cash seems like a different dog now! Training locations varied to include our home and public places, which helped us to test our skills and Cash’s in the real world. When we told Brian that we wanted to get our 55 lb. Bulldog and 15 lb. Boston comfortable sitting in a cart made for human children, he was eager to make it happen. We are excited to take them to outdoor wineries and restaurants now. Brian was great about communicating between lessons and flexible with our busy schedules. Brian would be our first call if we ever needed help with dog training again. Couldn’t have done it without him!

From the first moment Brian met Bella, his knowledge of what works for dogs — even puppies of her age — had an immediate effect. Bryan is knowledgeable, observant, and assiduous, and it shows. Within minutes he had my 10 week old Australian Shepherd motivated and doing a handful of commands—as if the puppy has known all of them all along! He was very patient given the short attention spans of puppies. We also did activities in which we all partook in so that both my puppy and I are learning how to communicate and work together as well, with positive reinforcement. He was also adaptive and adjusted the training to fit the environment and did not just focus on teaching commands. Not only that, but he’s also given me so many useful tips and informatively answered all my questions and he builds on what I already knew—this has been so helpful especially for a new puppy parent! I told him I wasn’t able to continue lessons in the meantime as we originally planned due to unrelated reasons. Bryan was understanding and still took the time to check in and remind me of what we need to be practicing precisely and how/when I should positively reinforce so that we are successful. I cannot wait until the next session. I plan to continue them soon. In the meantime, we’ll be still be practicing and doing our homework from Bryan!
