My training combines academic expertise (B.S. in Canine Studies) with extensive practical experience, including service dog program management. I use scientifically-proven positive reinforcement methods.

Positive reinforcement training rewards desired behaviors to encourage their repetition, using treats, praise, and play as motivators. It makes training fun and keeps dogs engaged.

While I primarily use positive reinforcement, I may use training equipment when necessary for safety in specific situations. This is always done with a proper introduction and guidance.

I train both! My approach focuses on teaching you how to communicate effectively with your dog, ensuring lasting results.

Pricing, Payment & Booking

Private training sessions are $120 per lesson, with a six-lesson package available for $595. Specialized training for dogs with human aggression is $175 per session.

My selection service is $100 per hour, which includes the entire process—from researching breeders and rescues to travel and time spent with the puppy to ensure a great fit.

I accept payments through Venmo, Zelle, Cash, or Check for all services. Payment is required at the time of service for private lessons and at drop-off for boarding services.

I do offer gift certificates. Please give me a call to arrange the details. You’ll just need to provide payment and the names of the people you would like to gift the lessons to. Then, they can call me to schedule a training date.

If you need to reschedule, I can accommodate that. Refunds for paid lessons are decided on a case-by-case basis. For the six-lesson package, if a refund is issued, I count each completed lesson at the per-lesson rate of $120, not the discounted package rate.

Training & Certification

Results vary depending on the dog, the behaviors being addressed, and your consistency with training. Many clients see improvement within the very first lesson.

I specialize in private training to ensure personalized attention and maximum results.

Each private lesson lasts 60 minutes.

Yes, I have experience with aggressive behavior modification. Special rates apply for dogs with human aggression.

I have experience with all breeds and ages, from puppies to senior dogs, including service dogs and family pets.

I do provide testing for AKC certifications and service dog evaluations. However, it’s important to know that there is no legally recognized national certificate for service dog training.

Service & Therapy Dogs

Service dog training varies based on the dog and the person’s needs, but it is a lengthy process. Typically, a puppy is trained until the age of two for service dog work, with the bulk of the training devoted to socialization and public access.

While possible, it’s exceptionally rare for a pet to become a service dog. I offer evaluations to determine suitability, but the success rates are low.

The puppy aptitude test is most reliable when performed between 6-8 weeks of age.

Boarding

For the safety of all dogs, I require proof of current Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations for all training sessions and boarding stays.

I limit boarding to three dogs at a time, and only from one family, ensuring personalized attention.

Yes, but spots fill up quickly. I highly recommend booking well in advance for major holidays.
